Behind The Lens
Hello There!
I'm Timber!
My love for photography started long before I ever considered it a
career. As a kid, my subjects consisted of my pets, plants, bugs, and
pretty much anything else I could get in front of my camera. My friends
and family still cringe at the thought of having to begrudgingly pose for
photoshoots and star in my music videos throughout childhood.
In 2022, after earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Strategic Communication
from Washington State University, I was fortunate enough to bring my
camera and my newfound education in branding, communications, and
public relations to the Wildcat Sanctuary, a nonprofit sanctuary for
wildcats reaching more than 5 million people worldwide.
That experience reignited my childhood passion and gave it purpose. I discovered just how powerful visual storytelling can be when it comes to educating, inspiring change, building community, and making a difference.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the unique opportunity to be part of moments not many can say they’ve experienced. From photographing rescued Ukrainian lion cubs playing in the snow for the first time, to documenting 2,000+ acre wildfires, getting charged by emus, and simply creating time capsules during pivotal life moments, I’ve been lucky enough to be behind the lens for it all.
While I have a deep love for portraits, my favorite moments to photograph are the ones that can’t be recreated: the split seconds filled with real, raw emotion and movement. The moments that happen once, and only once.
That’s the kind of photography I’m drawn to: honest, unposed, and rooted in the moment. Whether it’s for a person, a brand, an organization, or an experience, I want the final image to feel like you were there, engrained in that very moment.
